I am a partner in Sobel Law Offices, P.C. a New York City area law firm.  We concentrate on acting as an outside General Counsel for companies of all types and sizes.  We are an economical solution for those companies that want the security of an attorney familiar with their business, but cannot afford to have a full time attorney on staff.  Our philosophy is preventative lawyering, making sure your legal infrastructure is set up competently so when legal issues do arise they may be dealt with quickly, efficiently and economically.

LEGAL BUSINESS EXPERTISE
* Draft, review and negotiate contracts necessary for all aspects of clients’ businesses.
* Counsel businesses regarding business planning, internal administrative risks, financial risks, litigation risk and transactional needs, thereby creating a clear implementation strategy.
* Develop and implement employee agreements, employee manuals and sexual harassment policies.
* Supervise outside counsel and strategize litigation needs.
* Analyze marketing campaign risk and liability for intellectual property infringement, liability and defamation.
* Corporate/commercial real estate transactions, including 1031 exchange in kind, reducing capital gains tax for real property and personal corporate property such as airplanes, art, machinery, and etc.
* Drafted and enforced asset-based lending and leasing agreements.
* Ability to research and adapt to multi-state regulations and statutes.
* Familiar with Green Building concepts and requirements.
* Developed and presented seminars geared toward educating business owners and decision makers on important legal issues.
